Bear Creek Retreat has set up, for the use of its guests, a therapeutic massage room complete with a professional massage table and a variety of oils and body lotions.

A licensed massage therapist is available (with advanced notice) to provide professional, pampered massages that provide restoration to the individual, physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Andrea Broussard

Andrea is a Registered Massage Therapist trained in Swedish massage as well as Ebb and Flow Integration Therapy (EFI). Andrea has studied the healing arts since 2003 under Rima Star, founder of the Star Institute in Austin. Andrea also holds two bachelor degrees from the University of Texas, one in Anthropology and one in Fine Arts.

"Conscious touch is a potent healer. It has the power to evoke the experience of absolute safety, thereby relaxing the body's defenses and allowing healing to occur in the mind and body. Healing may be thought of as a re-ordering of the energies (including thoughts, emotions, and body functions), which have been driven to chaos by perpetual anxiety-states."

"It is this aim which guides each of my sessions. I am blessed with, and work to develop, a deep sensitivity in the realm of healing touch. I bring this gift to you in session, where I integrate massage and bodywork with energy- and breath work. Using my hands, I intuitively listen and respond as your body communicates what kind of touch would best serve you in the moment. It often ranges from deep, vigorous work to very light touch. I also offer verbal guidance where appropriate, and invite you always to tell me what you feel would best serve you. I strive to provide every client with clear presence, attentiveness, and responsiveness."

Prices:

An hour massage $75.00

An hour and 15 min. massage $90.00

An hour and a half massage $105.00

Prices do not include a $20 trip charge, to cover the therapist's travel expense.

Payment is made directly to the massage therapist by cash or check. Bear Creek Retreat does not collect any portion of the fee.

The therapist will gladly accept a gratuity, but guests should not feel obligated.
